This was the first women’s wear piece of my career. Originally created as a commission for a good friend, this Trench Dress was the first of many. I was heavily inspired by traditional Russian coats and fell in love with oversized fur lapels. Then after a prayer to one of the dress gods, Zac Posen, I made my first attempt at draping. The attempt was a success, and my mind was open to another genre of fashion.
